The Way to access the Junk folder with webmail

When you’ve configured your account with SpamAssassin and its Spam Box feature, SpamAssassin directs gridhost webmail it flags as spam to the Spam Box at a folder called Spam. If you are a HostPapa webmail user (Horde, RoundCube, and SquirrelMail), then you might need to subscribe to the Spam folder (sometimes referred to as Junk) so as to see it from the webmail interface.

Refer to the instructions below to subscribe to and access the Spam/Junk folder into your webmail interface.

Horde webmail

To subscribe to and access the Spam folder at Horde:

Log in to cPanel and go into the Mail section.

Click on the Email Accounts icon to start the Mail Accounts page.

About the Email Accounts webpage, scroll down to the listing of email accounts. Open webmail to your email account you’re setting: click on on the dropdown and choose Access Webmail.

In the Horde folder panel, click on the Folder Actions dropdown and click the Show All Mailboxes item.

The Spam folder now appears in the folder panel.

Open the Spam folder and choose Subscribe. On a PC, click on the junk folder and choose Subscribe. On a Mac, hold the Ctrl key down and Choose Subscribe.

Once the Subscribe to spam? Window pops open, click the Subscribe to all folders of spam checkbox and click on OK.

The spam folder now appears in the standard Horde email folders list. To get the junk folder, click on it. Any junk email will appear from the emails list on the ideal side of the screen.

In RoundCube, the spam folder is called Junk by default. To access the Junk folder in RoundCube:

Log into cPanel and go into the Mail section.

Click the Mail Accounts icon to open the Email Accounts page.

In the RoundCube folder , the Junk email folder is dispersed by default. Spam Box will automatically place spam email .

To get spam email, click the Junk folder. Any junk email will appear in the mails list on the right side of this screen.

SquirrelMail webmail

In SquirrelMail, the junk folder is dispersed by default. To access the junk folder in SquirrelMail:

Log into cPanel and go into the Email section.

Click the Mail Accounts icon to open the Mail Accounts page.
